The Alfreds are simply us, Aline and Fred, and the little family that is always growing a little more. Born in the Jura, together since 2011, we have already traveled to several countries with a big crush on the North.

 

In 2013, a road trip in Canada, from Calgary to Vancouver, allowed us to discover this fabulous country. We discovered its mountains, lakes and expanses of forest as far as the eye can see.

 

In 2014, it was during our honeymoon in Finnish Lapland, surrounded by sled dogs and the Northern Lights, that we discovered this small octagonal Finnish hunting cabin, called a Kota, which would inspire our unusual accommodation.

 

It was in 2017 that we took the plunge and decided to leave everything in Switzerland to travel to Canada. After 3 months in Quebec taking care of sled dogs, we crossed the country aboard our caravan to the Yukon Territory, the Far North. We fell in love with the small town of Dawson City and stayed there for 8 months. We discovered the exciting field of tourism and we decided to do everything we could to be able to work there together in the near future. RTS followed us on this adventure through the show "Bye Bye la Suisse" .

Back in Switzerland, we have been very busy: renovation of the family home and other properties, 2 children, creation of our company Les Alfreds.

So here we are in 2024, back in Dawson City, Yukon Canada, to continue our 2017 dream! Thanks to our awesome team of Superhosts, we can run the business remotely and live our Northern dreams with our family!
